Your first run
Azeroth Survivors is a free browser survival roguelike by Aethus. Choose a race, class, and zone; move through enemy waves while your abilities cast automatically.
- Choose a race and class. Paladin or Warrior is a forgiving way to learn; Hunter suits ranged play.
- Select Elwynn Forest. It is the first open zone on a fresh save.
- Start and keep moving. Enemies spawn around you; your attacks fire on their own.
- Collect experience and choose a card. Prepare for timed bosses and the 16-minute finale.

QUICK CONTROL GUIDE
How to control your hero
Abilities cast automatically, so movement and upgrade choices do most of the work. Controls can change between builds; check the current Options screen if an input differs.
| Input | Action | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| W A S D / arrows | Move | Keep distance and guide the horde behind you. |
| None | Automatic spells | Attacks target nearby enemies without manual aiming. |
| 1 2 3 / click | Choose upgrade | Pick one of three cards at level-up. |
| Mouse wheel | Zoom | Adjust your camera view. |
| C | Character panel | Review character stats when available in your build. |
| Esc | Pause / options | Pause and adjust game settings. |
| Gamepad / touch | Alternate controls | Supported on some devices; desktop is easiest to learn on. |
See the full first-run guide for positioning and upgrade tips.
ROSTER
Which class should you pick?
Start with the kind of run you enjoy. Paladin and Warrior are commonly recommended for forgiving starts; Hunter lets you fight from range. Mage and Warlock can scale into heavy damage but ask you to protect a fragile hero. These are play-style suggestions, not a permanent ranking: talents and balance change between builds.
| Class | Play style | Try this approach |
|---|---|---|
| Paladin | Durable melee | Build around shields, healing, or one holy damage spell. |
| Hunter | Ranged | Keep moving; choose one focus such as pets, traps, or a signature shot. |
| Warrior | Close-range bruiser | Use toughness to learn routes, then stack a focused damage plan. |
| Mage | Area damage | Pair crowd clear with health, slows, or a defensive companion. |
| Druid | Flexible hybrid | Combine sustain with an area spell or control effect. |
| Shaman | Chain damage and support | Prioritize effects that jump between enemies and helpful totems. |
| Rogue | Fast melee | Use mobility to avoid being surrounded; focus on crit or elite damage. |
| Priest | Defense and damage over time | Use shields to buy time while a damage effect spreads. |
| Warlock | Damage over time and pets | Pick a curse or demon synergy and strengthen it instead of taking every spell. |
For more detail, see the build and progression guide. Confirm current talent names and effects in the game's picker.
BUILD YOUR RUN
Choose your upgrade cards
Each level offers three cards. A card shows the change it makes, such as more damage or an extra target. Early on, damage and target count help you keep up with growing waves. Before a boss, consider health, healing, and movement. If none of the offers fit your plan, use a reroll when your current build provides one; check the in-game controls because key bindings and reroll costs can change.
Abilities unlock as you level, so your build changes through both the cards you choose and the spells your class gains.
PROGRESSION
Twelve zones to explore
Available guide sources describe a 12-zone chain, with progress unlocked separately for each class. Use the in-game zone panel as the final authority if an update changes the order.

| 2 | Duskwood | Morbent Fel |
| 3 | Warsong Gulch | Lord Kazzak |
| 4 | Un'Goro Crater | King Mosh |
| 5 | Arathi Basin | Lord Aliden Perenolde |
| 6 | Feralas | King Gordok |
| 7 | Gurubashi Arena | Hakkar the Soulflayer |
| 8 | Scarlet Monastery | High Inquisitor Whitemane |
| 9 | Alterac Valley | Azuregos |
| 10 | Blackrock Mountain | Nefarian |
| 11 | Gates of Ahn'Qiraj | C'Thun |
| 12 | Naxxramas | Kel'Thuzad |
Elwynn Forest boss clock
Hogger arrives at 3:00, Mother Fang at 6:00, Rhahk'Zor at 9:00, Mr. Smite at 12:00, and Edwin VanCleef closes the first zone at 16:00. The detailed zone guide reports longer runs later in the chain: 18 minutes in zones 5–8 and 20 minutes in zones 9–12. Check the current zone panel for updated timing.

BEFORE LAUNCH
Browser requirements & fixes
The browser game requires WebGPU and a compatible graphics adapter. A current Chrome or Edge is a practical starting point; support in Safari and Firefox depends on the device and version. A desktop keyboard is recommended.
Black screen or no WebGPU?
- Update your browser, then reload the creator's game page.
- Allow extra time on the first visit while the world data loads.
- On a laptop with two GPUs, try assigning the browser to the high-performance GPU.
- If browser play is unavailable, check the Windows download on the creator's website.
Some phones can run the game with touch controls, but performance and WebGPU support vary.
QUICK ANSWERS
FAQ
Is Azeroth Survivors an official Blizzard game?
No. It is a fan project made by Aethus. This guide is also independent and has no affiliation with Blizzard Entertainment.
Do I press a key to attack?
No. Abilities cast themselves at nearby enemies. Your job is movement, dodging, kiting, and collecting experience.
How long is a zone?
Elwynn Forest's final boss arrives at 16:00. Later zones may have different timers; check the zone panel before starting.
Why did my save disappear?
The game's save belongs to the browser and game website where you played. Private windows, clearing site data, changing browsers, or playing from a different site can make another save appear empty. Export from the original game page before moving it. See our save recovery steps.
Can I play offline?
The creator's page may offer a Windows build. Follow the download link from the creator's official site.
